The Gipsy Kings are a group of musicians from two related families who fled Spain during the Spanish Civil War and settled in France. They took on the name of Los Reyes and, like gypsies, traveled around, playing gigs at weddings, in the street, or any place where people would take notice. Their trademark wandering prompted them to change their name to the Gypsy Kings.
