Jackson Browne was born in West Germany but moved to L.A. as a young child. When Jackson Browne was a teenager he learned to play the guitar and started playing at the local folk clubs. He first got noticed in 1966 when he was asked to play with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and he did. In 1972 he released his self-titled solo album and his career took off.
