Queensryche was formed in 1981 in Seattle. They’re earlier works reflected sounds that were fashionable in the ‘80s metal scene. But over time, the band developed a unique voice that borrowed a little from ‘70s rock acts like Pink Floyd. The experimentalism they brought to their albums blossomed, resulting in the accomplished concept album “Operation: Mindcrime.”

Though there are years between the metal of the band’s rise and the sound they’ve adopted since then, they’re fans have stayed loyal. In 2006 they followed up on their epic concept album with Operation: Mindcrime II.
